Mr. Cameron Ogilvie was born in Scotland.  Following the completion of his general education there, he pursued a three year program in the Glasgow School of Art.  Even prior to graduation, his talent became apparent, and he enjoyed private sales of a number of paintings.  In 1963, Mr. Ogilvie immigrated to Canada, and taking up residence in Calgary, there met and married his Canadian born wife, Margaret.  He continued art studies in Calgary by part time attendance at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology over a two year period.  Also he received private tutoring in art from Mr. John Byrne of Kingston Studios for a period of a year.  Once again, his artistic skills enjoyed gratifying recognition, and his paintings were hung both by the Schelling Gallery of Calgary, and also the World of Art gallery.  In 1969 Mr Ogilvie settled in North Vancouver.  After living some years in the Vancouver area, Cameron and his wife, Margaret, moved to the Town of Oliver in the Southern Interior.  He continues to develop his art and displays it at the Oliver Art Gallery and Rustico Art Gallery.  Ogilvie paints in Acrylics, a medium he says is suited to his personality.  He paints a wide range of topics in a realistic style.
